PROJECT: The Dark North art book

The Dark North

A group of Swedish games industry veterans, including Fredrik Malmberg, gaming scene pioneer and film/TV producer, have launched a US$20,000 Kickstarter campaign for a new book series containing unique art stories from The Dark North, as envisioned by creators and concept artists in Swedish games, fantasy and science fiction.

The project organisers say:

Some of Sweden’s most talented concept artists will come together in this unique art book, among them Peter Bergting – who recently won the Swedish Academy of Comic Art’s “Adamson Award” – each delivering a dramatic series of original images and words, together weaving a story based on their interpretation of The Dark North.

“After 48 hours, we are approaching 50 per cent of the funds pledged by pioneering backers,” says Malmberg. “We won’t rest until we bring this fantastic project to life”.
